I can honestly say I know EXACTLY how you feel. Some Mother's Day's I couldn't even bring myself to go to church... I'd avoid it. So don't be too hard on yourself, do something just for YOU, anything to make you feel a tiny bit better!! ;)
Your patience will pay off. I promise you it will. I posted a link to your blog from my blog and included a little post about you and Dan. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help!
I remember feeling that way....I used to leave church before they'd had out the flowers to all the mothers. I can't wait for you to LOVE mother's day and get to celebrate it!
I agree with the previous posters - you deserve to hate it... Also - what a beautiful sentiment Birthmothers' Day is!!! It warms my heart to know of it. Thank you for helping to educate me!!!!
Aranne, If anyone knows exactly how you feel, I do. I hated Mother's Day for years until I got my sweet little Rachel. After that, all the hurt went away until this year (14 years later) and a different kind of hurt hit me. Not having a mom on Mother's Day was really hard. I had so many mixed emotions that day. First, being able to be a mom (because of the selfless love of two amazing birthmoms), losing my sweet mom and thinking of you. I couldn't hold many of my emotions back. We pray for you and Dan everyday. I know it will happen soon for you and all the hurt will go away!!! Love you TONS!
