End of summer

Although I am sure we have a few more HOT days left before summer is "officially" over... we don't have many more weekends left open that we can take the time to head out to the lake so we took the time this weekend to get out there one last time. Plus...Auntie Laura was in town so we thought it might be a fun activity for the weekend.

Blake had a great time because he is now walking and really able to enjoy the water on his own and he sure did.

Can't wait until next year when he will start swim lessons and really get a feel for the water and what swimming is really all about!

Weekend with Friends

My dad was heading to CA so Blake and I decided to tag along and we spent the weekend with an old friend of mine and her new (adorable) little baby girl Madison. It was nice to just sit and talk and watch the little ones try to play together. Maddie is only 4 months old and Blake being nearly 11 is just a little too big but he sure wanted to see what she was doing and make sure she was alright... too cute!

It was a great weekend and we hope they will come and visit us sometime soon.
